The future belongs to those who gather
The Issue…
In an age where we scroll more than we speak, and connect but rarely feel connected, gathering is the antidote. Gathering restores what screens have taken, rekindles belonging and builds stronger families, workplaces and communities.
The loneliness epidemic…
Despite social media, video calls and endless notifications, people are more disconnected than ever before, and loneliness has become one of the biggest health and social challenges of our time.
So we created Gathering Matters….
It’s a fundamental human need. Gathering Matters explores why being physically present still matters — emotionally, culturally, even biologically.
A Gathering is People Connecting in-person with Presence and Purpose.
What is Gathering Matters?
Gathering Matters (GM) is a not-for-profit organization that researches, plans, and implements actions that encourage and sustain in-person gatherings.
Our mission is to create a world where in-person gathering dissolve disconnection, strengthens belongings and ensures everyone feels supported.
